Hi @RoyDA,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why your HP Officejet Pro 8715 is not connecting to your home network. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue.
- Restart your printer and network devices: Turn off your printer and unplug the power cord. Also, turn off your router and modem, and unplug them from the power source. Wait for a minute or two, and then plug in the devices and turn them back on.
- Check the network settings on your printer: Press the Wireless icon on the printer's control panel, and then press the Settings icon. Scroll down and select Wireless Settings, and then select the Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your home network.
- Verify your network password: Make sure that you are entering the correct password for your home network. If you have recently changed the password, you will need to update it on your printer as well.
- Reset your printer's network settings: Press the Wireless icon on the printer's control panel, and then press the Settings icon. Scroll down and select Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes to confirm. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer's network settings.
- Update your printer's firmware: Check if there are any available updates for your printer's firmware on the HP website. Download and install the update to ensure that your printer has the latest software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
