I was printing a document, and the printer stopped before completing with an error message of 620192F8.  I unplugged the printer and waited for about 5 minutes.  Printer a couple more pages and then same error message appeared

Try these steps:

Perform a Hard Reset

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet as well.

Wait:

  • Wait for about 60 seconds.

Reconnect the Power:

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.

Turn On the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Update Firmware

Updating the printer firmware can resolve many errors and improve printer performance.

Download the Latest Firmware:

Install the Firmware:

  • Download and install the latest firmware update as per the provided instructions.

Check for Software Updates

Ensure that your printer software and drivers are up to date.

Download Latest Driver and Software:

Install the Update:

  • Follow the installation guide to update both the printer driver and printer software.

Restore Network Settings

Restoring network settings may help if the error is related to connectivity issues.

Access Network Settings:

  • From the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network Settings menu.

Restore Network Defaults:

  • Select Restore Network Defaults and confirm.

Factory Reset (If Necessary)

If the issue persists, performing a factory reset may resolve deeper issues.

  1. Perform a Factory Reset:
    • Navigate to Setup from the printer menu.
    • Select Printer Maintenance.
    • Choose Restore or Restore Settings.
    • Follow the instructions to reset the printer to factory settings.
