Hi @DarryD
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One printer isn't printing despite restarting it and turning off your VPN, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PCs. You can print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection.
2. Restart All Devices:
- Restart your printer, computer, and router. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
3. Set Printer as Default:
- On your PC, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners. Ensure your HP Smart Tank Plus 651 is set as the default printer.
4. Check Print Queue:
- Make sure there are no stuck print jobs in the queue:
- Open Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click on Open queue. Cancel any stuck jobs.
5. Update Printer Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
6. Use HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store. This app can help manage your printer and might make it easier to troubleshoot.
7. Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Run the Printer troubleshooter to identify and fix issues.
8. Disable Firewall Temporarily:
- Temporarily disable any firewall or security software to check if it's blocking the printer communication.
9. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
