HP c5280 All in One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get a "carriage jam" and "carriage stalled" error message on my c5280 All in One printer. The carriage could not move all the way to the right, because a black post below it was blocking it. After watching a related printer's video online, I used a blunt object to move that thing (in the right below the carriage) towards the back of the printer a bit, until the carriage could freely move to the right of the printer. But it still doesn't work, and I get the same error messages. And now there are stains from leaked ink inside the printer.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

I appreciate all your efforts in troubleshooting this issue

Here is a document which explains clearly on how to fix this issue: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-C5200-All-in-One-Printer-series/3204462/model/320... . The document is headed as “A 'Carriage Jam' or 'Carriage Blocked” but it is the same as the cartridge jam issue that you face.

If the issue persists, we can attempt a Semi Full Reset

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊
