HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HP Envy 7645 won't stop printing even though the print queue is empty.  I have to shut it down at least overnight to clear the error.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Are you getting any error messages?

Could you elaborate on the issue for better understanding?

Hi Sandy,

No error messages, it just continues to print out pages.  When it starts, it doesn't print anything for a few minutes.  By that time, I've checked the print queue and don't see any pending prints.  So, I send the page again to the printer.  Eventually it will print but then just prints until I turn off the printer.  After a day or so, it's like nothing ever happened.  Recently, I decided to let it print until it stopped on it's own, thinking I had sent multiple requests.   After 20 pages it was still going strong, so I shut it down.   Interestingly these pages don't show in the print queue.     Thanks,

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install the printer using the printer full feature driver
