If it comes to ready when not connected to your network or computer, then you will want to first purge all jobs from the print spooler on your computer. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cant-delete-print-queue-in-windows-10/c01abbe3...
Then download the currentfirmware from support.hp.com and copy that file to a usb stick.
On the printer, go do support tools>device maintenance>firmware upgrades and follow the instructions to update the firmware

Based on a recent issue i had with one of these, you need to test the harddrive first. You need to go into the preboot menu, power on machine and touch the HP logo as soon as you see a black line under the logo. In administration, find the diagnostics menu and run all. On the model the EMCC will error because this unit does not use an EMCC, but if the hard drive fails you will need to replace it with part number L41606-011.
If the harddrive passes, from the same preboot administration menu, format the disk and then download the firmware. Further instructions on doing this are included in the README file for the firmware update file.

Have you tried the preboot diagnostics yet? As the times of our posts are pretty close you may have listed my last posting.
