I have an HP OfficeJet pro 8035 printer scanner copier. A message keeps popping up saying that I have a printer failure. It tells me to turn the printer off and then on but I have done this and it hasn’t helped. It says the event code is 71.02.4A

Hi @138Ac,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 printer. The error code 71.02.4A indicates a hardware issue with the printer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Open the printer cover and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside.
  • If you find any, carefully remove them and close the cover.
  • Retry printing to see if the issue is resolved.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the official HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.
  • If updates are available, follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
