I go to print 2 jpegs of the inside and outside of a custom greeting card on 110-pound matte card stock. Each jpeg is an 8.5x11 inch page, with the idea being to print them landscape back to back, folding the sheet vertically to create a 5.5x8.5 card. Problem is, every time I hit Print, the image is printed in a different place on the paper, but never the right place. The layout for the front of the card place the artwork at the far right edge of the page, and 9 times out of 10 it comes out somewhere near the center of the page--a different spot each time. I'm pretty sure it's not a paper-feeding problem, although that seems a likely culprit. I've experimented with every combination of setup options I can see--Fit to page, Don't fit to page, margin, no margin, etc., and it's like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get. Any thougjhts?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
The image size is the first hurdle --
The printer supports Borderless of this size paper - but only on one side of the paper
You cannot print Borderless in Duplex (2-sided)
Borderless Printing | Yes (up to 8.5 x 11 in, 216 x 297 mm) |
This means the images can be printed duplex but only with a white border.
The printed images will be smaller than the paper on which they are printed.
Duplex Print Options | Automatic (standard) |
With the installation of the Full Feature Software,
HP Card paper -- defined as Index paper to 110lb / 200 gsm -- is supported
Media Size (facet) | Letter; A4; Legal; B5 |
Media Sizes Custom (imperial) | Simplex: 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 14 in; Duplex: 3 x 5.5 to 8.5 x 12.2 in |
Media Sizes Custom (metric) | Simplex: 76.2 x 127 to 215 x 355 mm; Duplex: 76.2 x 140 to 215 x 309 mm |
Media Types | Plain paper; Photo paper; Brochure Paper |
Media Weight Recommended (imperial) | 20 lb |
Media Weight Recommended (metric) | A4: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP cards: up to 200 g/m²; HP 10 x 15 cm photo paper: up to 250 g/m² |

Paper Setup / Selection -
Printer Specifications for HP Officejet 4630, DeskJet 4640 Printers
Paper Handling
The printer supports this type of paper but not as a standard size in this paper type.
Windows -- according to the specs -- does not support custom paper sizes.
This maybe, not quite, almost supported, "sort of" conflict could be part of the reason for the shifting images on the paper.
What to do?
Not sure --
It might be possible to get around the mess by shoring up those options that can be selected...
The printer must be aware of the selected paper size / type - Tray and Paper
Example - Tray and Paper
Note: Select the correct paper size and a paper type as close as can be found.
For example, Plain Paper, Thick, Specialty Paper, Matte
EWS_9025_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_All_10
Next,
If you can get around the fact that the paper size and paper type are not actually supported by this printer,
The following might actually be useful to some extent...
The format of your content makes a difference.
For example, PDF, Word, or Printing from a Photo Editing software
Word, for example, works with one set of rules for image sizing and placement - In particular, make sure to use "Insert" to place an image into a Word document as opposed to using Cut and Paste. Word is clever - and also requires care when constructing a document that includes image(s).
PDF format treats "image" data completely differently from other software AND has it's own rules about margins, gutters, and data placement. The advantage of PDF is that it is versatile.
The available options are different depending on the software / application you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.
From your description,
Perhaps you want to print a two page document in duplex, orientation landscape.
Page 1 includes the first image - full size (as placed into the document)
Page 2 includes the second image - full size
You expect to fold the paper across the center of the full sized images printed on either side of the paper.
What if?
I might not understand what you are doing...
For example,
Full size image folded on itself makes little sense to me.
I can imagine the idea of having a full page image on a paper and folding it so the paper is small enough (for example) to fit into a 6x9 inch envelope. Printing both images on one piece of paper does reduce weight in said envelope.
OR
Perhaps this is artistic expression printed on two sides of one piece of paper.
OK...
Were it mine to do,
I'd create a document in Word, margins set to narrow.
Next,
Insert the first image on page 1 of the document at a size the encompasses the size of the page without infringing on the margins.
Next,
Add a second page to the document - add a break point or make sure the first page contains the correct number of lines.
Next,
Insert the second image - again making sure the image file fits on the paper without infringing on the document margins.
Next,
Save the file.
Export the Word document to PDF format and save.
Next,
Here is where the original document format matters --
PDF format will have translated the original margins and data size(s).
What?
"Image" data is not treated as a "JPEG" -- PDF does not "see" image data as would a photo printing software printing a .jpg or .png file.
That means: The file format and the software / application you use impacts the available options.
