Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One:  This printer was given to me and is no longer on warranty.   It worked a few times, but it started saying "Remove and check color cartridge, which I have done repeatedly, but it still won't print for me.  I have put in a new HP color cartridge, just to make sure,  but it still gives me that message.

Turn the printer off and then hold down the # and the 6 key with one hand

turn the printer on with the other hand and only let go of the # and 6 when 

the screen shows a reset

I did as you said, but it did not work.  The little screen still says "Remove and check color cartridge."
