Ink Tank 315

I recently bought HP Ink Tank 315 printer. The cyan colour does not print but the rest of the colours (Magenta, Yellow and Black) print fine.  I have cleaned the cartridges several times but the problem still persists. Please I need help

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Have you tried making a standalone copy on the printer and check if you have the same issue?

Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Check the ink levels

Low ink levels can impact print quality.

  1. Visually check the printer ink levels using the ink tank window.

  2. Add ink to any of the tanks where the level is below or close to the minimum fill line.

  1. Maximum fill line

  2. Minimum fill line

Step 2: Run the printhead cleaning utility using the HP Software

HP provides an automated printhead cleaning utility that can unclog printhead nozzles.

Follow step 7 from this document

Step 3: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  1. Press and hold the Start Copy Color button  on the printer control panel for 3 seconds to print a Print Quality Diagnostic page.

Example of a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  2. Review the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black boxes, checking for missing colors, fading, and white lines.

    • If the color blocks do not show white lines, and are not faded or missing, the printer is working correctly. Check for image resolution problems, application errors, or other issues that might affect the printout.

    • If any of the color blocks show white lines, are faded, or are missing completely, continue to the next step.

Let me know how this goes.

Hi Kumar

Thanks for your prompt response

I have done all the above posted solutions as recommended and yet, the cyan colour does not print. When you print a quality diagnostic page, the cyan color block is missing completely. I need help because I have barely used the printer for even a month.

Than You
