Hi @Ayopecthli,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy printer is only printing some lines and has missing parts, it could be due to a clogged printhead, issues with the ink cartridges, or printer settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

1. Check Ink Levels

  • Ensure that all ink cartridges are sufficiently filled. Even if one cartridge is low, it can affect print quality.

2. Run Printhead Cleaning

  • Access the printer’s maintenance menu:
    • Control Panel: Navigate to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead or similar options. Run the cleaning cycle a few times if needed.

3. Print Quality Diagnostic

  • Print a test page or print quality diagnostic page to check the status of each color:
    • This can usually be found in the maintenance or tools menu.

4. Check Cartridge Installation

  • Remove the cartridges and ensure they are properly seated and clicked into place.
  • Check for any protective tape or seals that may not have been removed from the cartridges.

5. Inspect Printhead

  • If your model allows for it, you can remove the printhead and clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth and some distilled water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling.

6. Check Printer Settings

  • Ensure you are not printing in grayscale or draft mode, as this can affect print quality. Adjust settings to print in color and in a higher quality mode if necessary.

7. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website.

8. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
