I'm having some trouble with my OfficeJet 3830 printer. It prints the first page correctly, then squishes every other page. I get the issue any time the document I am printing is more than one page (front and back or front only makes no difference). I get no error messages and all my settings are correct (I know because I've tried every logical combination over several hours). This started happening after I switched to using the HP smart app to print because I was required to. I'm using a wireless internet connection. I have never been closer to intentionally destroying a piece of technology I own. Please help.

As a note, my printer prints from the last to the first page. So when printing multiple-page documents, it squishes every page until it gets to the last page, which is the first page of the document.

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to update the firmware from HP Smart App.

1. Go to 123.hp.com (Android, Apple iOS, iPad OS), or HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows), or HP Smart - Mac App Store (Mac) (if not installed).

2. After completing the printer setup, click or tap on the printer’s name.

NOTE: Menu names, locations, and available settings vary by printer model.

3. Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings.

4. Click or tap Tools or Web Services.

5. Click or tap Printer Updates or Product Update, and then click or tap Check Now.
