Hey there

Recently My HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5075 Printers display has not been working properly and I cannot understand why I tried the firmware update and it didn't change a thing.

To go deep into the issue I have been having is the printer works perfectly fine with all it's features but the display it's on and running but whenever I click something on it , it just opens something else and I think it is most probably a touch issue .

So I would like to know how to fix it?

Hi @AR-T7 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touch response on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5075 printer's display is not working correctly, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Calibrate the Touchscreen:

  • Check if your printer has a calibration option in the settings menu.
  • If available, navigate to the settings menu on the printer's display and look for a touchscreen calibration option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touchscreen.

Update Firmware:

  • Make sure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the official HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware update.
  • Follow the instructions provided by HP to update the firmware on your printer.

Factory Reset:

  • If the issue persists, you may consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings on the printer.
  • Check your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the touchscreen for any physical damage such as cracks or scratches.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
