My chromebook is connected to wifi SSID "HP-Setup<16>DeskJet 2600 series"

I'm trying to configure Wi-Fi Direct at https://192.168.223.1/#hId-pgWifiDirectbut can't because the page reports:

"The printer is currently busy running a wireless setup process using Wi-Fi Direct, so Wi-Fi Direct settings are not available at this time. Wait for up to 2 hours, and then refresh the browser window."

The printer has been on for over 2 days like this. How do I configure Wi-Fi Direct?

This question is asked many time but there is no reply.

Are all hp employees knows nothing about the matter.

Are all the people there a waste of engineering.

Please post a solution soon.

I dont wanna formated sugarcoated reply but solution.

Thanx

You need to connect the Chromebook WiFi to the WiFi Direct name which you can find on the by pressing the info button on the printer panel.

It will start with "DIRECT-" and the print name.

After connecting to the WiFi direct name go to Settings on the Chromebook and select Advanced > Printing > Printers.

Click on Add Printer and enter a name ie: Deskjet 2600 and the IP 192.168.223.1 > Save

Try printing something.

Actually My printer's wifi direct password hasbeen changed from default.

And i forgot that password.

After that I factory reset my printer.

Even after that it Didnt connect using default password.

It don't print the password in information page.

That is the main problem.

HP Recommended

Connect the printer using the WiFi option then print the network settings & connect to the EWS.

You will find the WiFi-Direct password in the Network settings.

This is what it say...i connected using setup mode... And to edit or see the password you have to be connected through direct mode.
