Product: hp OfficeJet Pro 6968

My computer apps such as word keep saying the printer door is open but it is not. No error shows up on the printer display screen and the HP SMART app can print report sheets to the printer just fine, but it can't print documents. Documents just pile up in the printer cue.  I have done a hard reset of the printer, have checked for blockages in the printer, and have ensured that door is closed (confirmed b/c the LCD screen on the printer shows no error message)

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you are getting a printer door is an open error on the printer screen. however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your printer prior to the issue?
  • What is the operating system?
  • Are you able to print from other devices? 

Keep me posted for further assistance.
