HP Ink Tank 315

Hi, We have an Ink Tank 315, it has been repaired once due to the problems with the print head but now, when I plug in the printer it does not turn on when I press the power button. Instead, only the resume and printhead indicator lights both light up (not blinking though). There is no Error blinking as well. What should I do? please help. Thank you

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 
  2. Remove USB cable, if present. 
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge. 
  4. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer. 
  5. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you reseat the printhead. Please refer to page 58 from the below user guide for the detailed steps to reseat the printhead.

Thank you for the help, although I have not tried your suggestion as of yet - for some reason after I tried not using it for 24 hrs, it worked again the next day. But i'll be sure to keep in mind your help. Thank you again! @The_Fossette
