Hi @Merryl22,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code OXB82035F8 on your HP OfficeJet 3830 typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printhead or the ink system. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the error.
- Turn Off and Restart: Power off the printer, unplug it from the wall, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Jammed Paper: Open the printer and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be obstructing the printhead.
- Inspect the Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinstall them to ensure good contact. Check for any protective tape that might still be on the cartridges.
- Clean the Printhead: If you have access to printhead cleaning functions via the printer's control panel or software, run those. If not, you can manually clean the printhead with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
- Reset the Printer: You can try resetting the printer to factory settings. Refer to the printer’s manual or HP’s support website for specific instructions on how to do this.
- Check Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check this through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
