I have two problems:

The printer (HP 7005) is refusing to print a document which is in the queue.

No other documents can be printed while the above document is locked into the system,

Help / advice, please.  How do I clear this?

Hi @JJ25ZA

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP Smart Tank 7005 has a stuck print job, preventing other documents from printing.

This issue is often caused by a blocked print spooler or corrupted print queue files. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to clear the queue and get your printer working again.

1. Restart the Printer & Computer

  • Turn off your printer and computer.
  • Unplug the printer for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

2. Clear the Print Queue Manually

  • Open Run (Windows + R) and type: services.msc
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click, and select Stop.
  • Open File Explorer and navigate to:C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
  • Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.
  • Go back to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

3. Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • Open SettingsDevicesPrinters & Scanners.
  • Remove the printer and restart your computer.
  • Download and install the latest driver from HP’s support page.

4. Check HP Community for Additional Fixes

Let me know if any of these steps help! I appreciate your patience while we work through this.
