Hi @Eps_69,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error event code 71.02.4A on an HP OfficeJet 8013 usually indicates a hardware-related issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer's access doors and remove any paper jams or obstructions.
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly and that there are no foreign objects inside the printer.
Check the Printhead:
- Open the printer to access the printhead.
- Make sure the printhead is properly seated and that there are no obstructions or dried ink causing issues.
- If the printhead can be removed, take it out and gently clean it with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
Reset the Printer:
- Perform a factory reset on the printer. This can usually be done through the printer's menu under "Settings" or "Maintenance." Refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to reset it.
Check Connections:
- Ensure that all cables are securely connected. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
