Whenever I print photos, they always come out with a red tint, as if the people in the photos are sunburned. Why is this? I have gone through multiple ink cartridges and it is always the same so I know it's not the ink. I have tried with multiple types of paper and it is also with all types of paper. It is only with photos, not other color images! I have printed color images and they come out fine -- it's only photos. Please help!!

@mspinelli417, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you have issues with printing photos, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Does the preview look good?
  • Could you try to print the photos from a different application?

Meanwhile, check the settings. Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Print Photos (Mac)  for help.

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Keep me posted for further assistance.
