Wha can I do I just bought all new original cartridge close to $200 and they are Z10 instead of Z20 which my printer use, I look on the cartridge and said Z20 it is for Europe, Russia and so on, always bought new at costco or Bureau en gros. Do you have any way for me to upgrade my printer in order to use those Z10

You will need to contact HP Canada & ask for a region reset. 800-hp-invent

This reset is covered by the ink cartridge warranty!

I just spoke to a HP representative who explain me that my printer is over 5 years old and they can not solve my problem. to have a region reset is not possible over the phone. I told him that I should have a warranty. He said he was sorry I did not buy the right cartridge, I told him they do not sell these Z20 anymore in around Montreal Canada. Is there any solution ?

Hi @nicolelaure

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset, and re-initialize the printer.

My OfficeJet Pro 8610 used 950/951 Z20 cartridge.  I can only find Z10 cartridges now.  How can I reset my printer to accept Z10?

Hi @nOZ10.

Z20 cartridges have been replaced by Z10, we would have to perform region reset for your printer to accept  Z10 ink.

I'd like to help with the reset.
