My printer will not print. I have followed the instructions on the HP page am getting nowhere. Also, all the lights are on.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

If your HP ENVY 6055e printer will not print and all the lights are on, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

 

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and restart the printer.

Connectivity Issues:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
  • If using a wireless connection, check the network status and ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.
  • For USB connections, try using a different USB cable or port on your computer.

Check Print Queue:

  • Open the printer queue on your computer and ensure there are no pending jobs that are paused or stuck. Cancel or restart any stalled print jobs.

Driver and Software:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer software and drivers installed from the HP website.
  • If necessary, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Ink Cartridge and Paper:

  • Check that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  • Ensure there is paper in the tray that is correctly positioned and not jammed.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cable from the printer.
  • Wait for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer on.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
