Hi @Canidate,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer is not printing when commanded by your HP Pavilion x360 laptop with Windows 11, it could be due to a variety of reasons, such as connection issues, outdated drivers, or incorrect settings. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check Printer Status

  1. Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
  2. Check if there are any error messages or blinking lights on the printer that might indicate an issue.
  3. Ensure the printer is set as the default printer:
    • Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and click Set as default if it's not already set.

Step 2: Verify the Printer Connection

For Wireless Printing:

  • Open Settings > Network & Internet and ensure your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
  • On the printer, go to Settings > Network > Wireless Settings and check if the Wi-Fi connection is active.
  • If needed, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi by using the printer's control panel.

For USB Connection:

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the laptop and printer.
  • Try a different USB port on the laptop if necessary.

Step 3: Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Update Drivers via Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Printers or Universal Serial Bus controllers (if using USB).
  • Right-click the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and choose Remove device.
  • Download and install the latest driver from the HP Support website.
  • After installation, restart your laptop and reconnect the printer.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

  2. Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e, then click Open print queue.
  3. Right-click on any pending print jobs and select Cancel to clear the queue.

Step 5: Run the Printer Troubleshooter

  1. Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Scroll down and find Printer.
  3. Click Run next to the Printer Troubleshooter, and follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any issues.

Step 6: Check Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  3. Right-click it and select Restart.
  4. If it’s stopped, right-click and select Start.

Step 7: Update Windows 11

Sometimes a system update can resolve compatibility issues:

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
  2. Install any pending updates and restart your laptop.

Step 8: Try Printing a Test Page

  1. Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Select the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and choose Manage.
  3. Click Print a test page to see if it works.
