Step-by-Step Fix

1. Check Ink Levels

  • Use the HP Smart App or printer control panel to confirm ink levels.
  • If the ink is low or expired, replace it with genuine HP cartridges.


2. Run Printhead Cleaning

  • On the printer’s control panel or via HP Smart App: 
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead
    • Run the cleaning 2–3 times if needed.


3. Print a Diagnostic Page

  • Go to Settings > Reports > Print Quality Report
  • Check if any colors or black ink are missing or streaked.


4. Check Cartridge Installation

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove and reinsert each cartridge firmly.
  • Make sure they click into place and are not blocked by packaging tape.


5. Update Firmware

  • Visit your printer’s support page on HP’s website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your model: Official HP® Support.


6. Try a Different Document

  • Sometimes the issue is with the file or app you're printing from.
