My printer has suddenly stopped working. It looks like it's about to print a document, but doesn't produce anything.

Please read this post and then provide some details.  What printer model?  Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?  Does the printer go through the motions of printing but the paper is blank, or does it not bring in the paper?

Thank you, Bob.  My printer is HP LaserJet P1102w.  It is on, when I press print, the blue light flashes as normal but no pages come through.  I have tried everything, or, to be more precise, my nephew has tried everything and we cannot work out what is going on. This only started earlier this week. 

 

I'm very grateful for your help.  I am in Scotland, so it's getting late over here and it may be tomorrow before I read any response from you, but again, thank you for your interest.

What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, or Wireless LAN? Which blue light is blinking - is it the wireless light?  After the print job is sent does it remain in the queue?  After the print job is sent what is the light pattern on the printer?  Are there any error messages on the PC?

I'm sorry I've not replied sooner to your message, but I am relying on my nephew to deal with this and while he is keen to do so, he has limited time available (he's student) so I cannot answer these questions just yet.  I am grateful for your help - very grateful - and will return asap to, hopefully, complete this query.
