Hi @Athomas15,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e is connected via USB but not printing and shows as "offline," even though it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check USB Cable and Connection:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer or use a different USB cable to rule out a cable issue.
2. Set Printer as Default:
- On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (or Settings > Printers & Scanners on Windows 10/11).
- Right-click on the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e and select Set as Default Printer.
- Ensure that there aren’t duplicate printer entries. If there are multiple listings, right-click and remove any that aren’t needed.
3. Check Printer Status:
- Right-click on the printer icon in Devices and Printers and select See what's printing.
- If there are any stuck print jobs, click Cancel All Documents.
- Ensure that Use Printer Offline is not selected. If it is, uncheck it.
4. Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Go to Device Manager on your computer, locate the printer under the Printers section, right-click on it, and select Uninstall Device.
- After uninstalling, disconnect the USB cable, restart your computer, and then reconnect the printer. Windows should automatically reinstall the correct drivers. You can also download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
5. Switch Printer to USB Mode:
- Since your printer is connected to both USB and Wi-Fi, it might be trying to prioritize Wi-Fi printing. To switch it to USB mode:
- Go to the printer control panel on the printer's screen.
- Select Settings > Network Setup and disable the Wi-Fi temporarily to force it to print via USB.
- After testing the USB connection, you can re-enable Wi-Fi if needed.
These steps should help resolve the "offline" issue and get your printer working via USB again.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
