HP Envy Photo 6255 is non responsive showing the HP logo and a straight line below it. I tried the unplug and replug suggestion that worked last time but nothing is happening

Hi @MikeE70,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy Photo 6255 printer is unresponsive even after trying the basic troubleshooting step of unplugging and replugging, you can try the following steps:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams inside the printer. Open the printer cover and inspect the paper path.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the official HP website and check if there is any firmware update available for your printer model. If so, follow the instructions to update the firmware.Click here

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for a minute or two.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
