Hi @Tinkerbell93,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the printing.
- Are there any error messages displayed on the printer’s control panel or on your computer screen when you try to print?
- How is the printer connected to your computer? Is it via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet?
- What is the status of the printer in the computer's printer settings? Does it show as "Ready," "Offline," "Paused," or something else?
- Have you checked the print queue? Are there any pending jobs, or does it show any errors or documents stuck?
- Have there been any recent changes to your system, such as a new router, software updates, or new devices connected?
- Are there any issues with the ink cartridges, such as low ink warnings or paper jams? Is the printer loaded with paper?
- Was the printer working fine before, or has this been an ongoing issue? If it was working, when did it stop printing?
- Are you using the HP Smart app or another software to manage your printer? Is the software up to date?
- Does the problem occur when printing from multiple devices, or is it isolated to just one device?
Let's try a few steps here.
Check Printer Status and Clear Print Queue:
- On your computer, go to the "Devices and Printers" or "Printers & Scanners" settings.
- Check the status of the printer. If it’s set to "Offline" or "Paused," right-click the printer and select "Use Printer Online" or "Resume Printing."
- Clear any stuck print jobs from the queue.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing again.
Check for Connectivity Issues:
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the correct network and that your device is on the same network.
- For USB connections, make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable if available.
- If using Ethernet, ensure the cable is securely connected to the printer and router.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP website to diagnose and automatically fix common printing problems.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that the printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
- If the drivers are up to date, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @Tinkerbell93,
Please find the remaining steps below.
Check Ink Levels and Paper Load:
- Open the printer’s ink cartridge access door and make sure the cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
- Ensure there is paper loaded in the paper tray and that it is not jammed.
Reset the Printer:
- Reset the printer to its default network settings by pressing and holding the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer’s control panel for 3 seconds.
Test with Another Device:
- Try printing from a different device, such as another computer, smartphone, or tablet, to determine if the issue is device-specific.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Check for and install any available firmware updates for the printer through the HP Smart app or the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Perform a Printer Reset:
- If the above steps do not work, perform a factory reset on the printer. Be sure to back up any settings as needed.
After going through these steps, confirm if the printer starts printing correctly. If the issue persists, its either the cartridges are faulty or the printer itself.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
