Hi @benita3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Your HP printer keeps printing the Printer Status Report because it’s stuck in a loop where the printer thinks it needs to confirm setup or alignment. This usually happens after:

  • A recent cartridge change or alignment that wasn’t completed.
  • Web Services or HP+ enrollment prompts.
  • A firmware or network reset.

Here’s how to stop it:

Step 1: Complete Alignment or Setup

  • If the printer printed an alignment page, place it face down on the scanner glass and press OK/Scan.
  • Wait for the message Alignment Successful. (Skipping this step causes the printer to keep printing status/alignment pages.)

Step 2: Disable Status Page Printing

  • On the printer control panel:
    • Go to Setup → Reports → Printer Status Report.
    • Turn OFF automatic printing.
  • In HP Smart App
    • Go to Printer Settings → Advanced Settings → Reports.
    • Disable Status Report on Startup.

Step 3: Check Web Services

  • If HP+ or Instant Ink is enabled, make sure the printer is online and enrolled.
  • Go to Setup → Web Services → Enable/Disable. (If Web Services are stuck, disable them temporarily and restart the printer.)

Step 4: Power Cycle

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug for 60 seconds.
  • Plug back in and restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
