Hi @Baba33,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is only printing in pink ink, this issue is typically related to one or more of the color cartridges being empty, clogged, or not functioning correctly. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and fix the problem:
Steps to Fix Printer Only Printing in Pink Ink:
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure all color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) have sufficient ink. Replace any that are low or empty.
Clean the Printhead:
- Clogged printheads can cause color printing issues. Use your printer's maintenance menu to clean the printhead:
- On the printer, navigate to the Setup or Maintenance menu.
- Select Clean Printhead or Clean Cartridges.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cleaning process.
Align the Printhead:
- Misaligned printheads can also cause printing issues. Use the printer's maintenance menu to align the printhead:
- Navigate to the Setup or Maintenance menu.
- Select Align Printhead or Align Cartridges.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if a specific color is not printing:
- Navigate to the Setup or Maintenance menu.
- Select Print Test Page or Print Quality Report.
- Examine the test page for missing colors or streaks.
Replace Faulty Cartridges:
- If the test page indicates that one or more colors are not printing, try replacing the affected cartridges.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest versions.
Check Printer Settings:
- Verify that the printer settings on your computer are configured correctly:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select Printer properties.
- Check the Color settings to ensure it is not set to grayscale or monochrome.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
