Hi @Brian0918 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're dealing with a frustrating error on your HP Officejet Pro 8610. Error code 0xc19a0023 is related to the printhead and ink system.
Here's what you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
1. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall.
- Wait for 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check if the error clears.
2. Remove and Reseat the Printhead
- Open the printer's access door to expose the printhead.
- Remove all the ink cartridges and set them aside on a clean surface.
- Lift the printhead latch and carefully remove the printhead.
- Inspect the printhead and clean the electrical contacts using a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
- Reinsert the printhead and ensure it's seated correctly.
- Reinsert the ink cartridges.
- Close the access door and check if the error persists.
3. Clean Ink Cartridge and Printhead Contacts How to Clean Printer Heads: A Guide to Better Ink Efficiency
- Power off the printer and remove the power cord.
- Remove the ink cartridges and printhead.
- Clean the gold-colored contacts on the cartridges and printhead with a lint-free cloth.
- Let them dry completely and reinstall everything.
- Power the printer back on.
4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
Sometimes firmware updates fix error codes:
- Go to the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and check for available firmware updates.
- Install any available updates and restart the printer.
5. Printhead Replacement
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, your printhead might be faulty.
