@Moshah, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy 7858 printer when attempting to print photos, where it repeatedly prompts you to load 4x6 photo paper even though you have already done so. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Verify Paper Type and Size:

  • Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of photo paper. The printer should recognize 4x6 inch photo paper placed in the dedicated photo paper tray.

Check Paper Alignment:

  • Make sure the photo paper is properly aligned in the tray. It should not be curled or bent, and the edges should align with the tray guides.

Use the Correct Tray:

  • Your printer may have multiple paper trays. Make sure you are loading the 4x6 photo paper in the correct tray if your printer model supports multiple trays.

Adjust Printer Settings:

  • On your printing device, make sure the print settings specify the correct paper size and type (4x6 photo paper).

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer on the HP website. This can sometimes resolve recognition issues and other bugs.

Clean the Rollers:

  • Dust or dirt on the paper rollers can prevent the printer from feeding paper correctly. Cleaning the rollers can improve paper feeding performance.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear minor errors.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
