Hi @CQM,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error code 62.80.15 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 indicates a printhead issue. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this problem:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check the Printhead:

  • Open the printer cover to access the printhead.
  • Ensure that the printhead and cartridges are properly seated and secure.
  • Remove the printhead and cartridges, then reinstall them carefully.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Remove the printhead and gently clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Allow the printhead to dry completely before reinstalling it.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset on your printer. This can often resolve hardware issues.
  • Note that this will reset all settings to factory defaults.

Run the Printer's Self-Test:

  • Use the printer's control panel to run a self-test or printhead test. This can help diagnose and sometimes fix the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
