My 9135e won''t print on paper lesss than 5.5 inches high.  This means I can't print a single checjk from quickbooks.  Is there a fix for this?

Specs state that minimum size through the mp tray is 5 inches. This will likely be a custom size so you can only print through tray 1 (also referred to a bypass tray or single sheet tray). So you will need to create a custom paper size on the printer that matches your media and then load that media in tray 1 and tell your program to print from tray 1

Welcome to the HP Community --

Tray 1 should support additional sizes.

?

I can provide information on what the printer should be able to do -- I cannot fix your print program settings.

Perhaps the EWS / printer side of the Paper Size / Type setup needs to be checked / updated.

Check and adjust paper size and type settings:

On the printer itself - the touchscreen printer control panel after changing paper or opening / closing tray

OR

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) as described in the user manual to check / adjust Paper Size and Type.

Remember to make note of your printer's PIN password inside the front door.

User Guide > Page 2 - Item #6

You'll need the password to get into some of the settings in EWS.

Write the password on a paper and stick it on the printer until your change it or memorize it.
