HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

My computer is a HP Deskjet 3755.  It was working fine yesterday.  This morning it would not turn on.  I rebooted both the computer and printer. Thank you.

Hi @aliruth,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 3755 printer is not turning on after you've tried rebooting both the computer and the printer, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to both the printer and a functional power outlet.
  • If possible, try using a different power outlet to rule out issues with the current outlet.

Power Button:

  • Double-check that you are using the correct power button on the printer.
  • Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to see if the printer responds.

Power Cord and Adapter:

  • Inspect the power cord for any visible damage. If it's damaged, consider replacing it.
  • If your printer uses an external power adapter, make sure it is working properly.

Check for Lights:

  • Look for any indicator lights on the printer. If there are no lights, it may indicate a power supply issue.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating firmware might resolve issues.

Printer Health and Status:

  • Some printers have a diagnostic or status report that can be printed. Check the printer manual for instructions on how to print a diagnostic report.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
