Hi! This is my first time using an HP printer — it’s the Smart Tank 720 Wireless All-in-One. I just got it today and managed to print a couple of things, but then it suddenly froze. Now it doesn’t respond when I press any buttons, the control panel stays blank, and I get an error when I try to send a file from my computer. Also, all the lights are on except for the Wi-Fi one and the black-and-white scan light.

@deolinda, Thanks for the update — and I'm really sorry you're still stuck with a frozen printer, especially after getting it up and running for the first time. That’s definitely frustrating.
From what you’ve shared, it sounds like the printer’s sleep mode might be getting a bit too cozy and not waking up properly. When it goes into sleep, and the panel stays blank with no response — that's not how it's supposed to work.
Here’s something that might help:
Try disabling sleep mode entirely (for now):
Open the HP Smart app on your computer or phone.
Go to Advanced Settings > Preferences > Sleep Mode or Energy Settings.
Set the sleep timer to a higher value or disable it temporarily.
If that doesn't bring it back to life, the issue might be firmware-related.
➡️ Try updating the firmware from HP's website — even if it feels unresponsive, sometimes connecting it via USB to a PC and pushing an update can kickstart things.
Let me know how it goes. We’re here for you till this gets sorted 🌱
Hope this helps!
