Where can I get the MAC address on hp2652 printer to connect to my restricted home wifi network? Nowhere in the instructions. Tried connecting online, but the hp process just tries to connect automatically (to a restricted network), so of course it can't connect unless I allow the MAC address in my router. Frustrating to say the least.
I'm not sure if I can't connect because of the restricted Access or that something else in the software is not working.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer and need the Mac address for the printer.
I suggest you to print a network configuration page from the printer. This page will have the printer's Mac address printed on it. Please follow the below steps to print a network configuration oage:
I hope this information helps. Feel free to keep me posted for any further questions. Cheers! 🙂

Thanks...I printed out the MAC address and added it to my router-approved access list of devices. The HP Easy Start program still cannot find the printer. The wifi blue light is blinking on the printer and it is next to the router. I have tried it on 2 computers with different Mac OS (10.11 and 10.8.5) -- I downloaded the Easy Start from each computer so it would have the right upgrade.
The HP config page that printed out had the following:
Status: Disabled
Communication Mode: Infrastructure
Network Name: (correct, my network)

You're welcome and thanks for replying. 🙂
I suggest you to perform the steps from this HP document. These steps normally help in fixing such issues where the printer is not found over the network.
Hope this does the trick. Let me know how this pans out. All the best! 🙂
