HP Scan and Print Doctor run indicates a driver conflict.  I am using the OS Windows provided driver that HP support says to use.  It's the only one they suggest.  Cannot print.  Items stuck in Queue.  The printer and driver work fine on my Dell Desktop.

Welcome to our humble abode, the family and tech-friendly house of HP Forums!

I'll be your host for the day, they call me the Riddle_Decipher.

We may need to reinstall the drivers, and since this printer is obsolete, you may need to install and use the windows built-in drivers instead:

Press "Windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window.

Type "services.msc" to get Services - Go to "Print spooler" - Right-click and "Stop" the service.

Now again open "Run" - Type "spool" and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.

Go to services again - Start the print spooler.

Now check for issue resolution.

If the issue persists, also try clean installing the printer drivers. Here are the steps:

First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.

Go to Control panel - Programs and feature - Select all the HP printer entries and uninstall them.

Now go to Control panel - Devices and printer - Select all the printer entries and remove the device.

Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.

Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.

Again, go to the Run window, type - "c:/programdata" - Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Restart your computer.

Then, use this link to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it: Click here to install builtin Windows drivers

Keep me posted, as I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again, only in case you don't get back to us, first!

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us, and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

I did all as you suggested and nothing changed.  I downloaded and ran the Print and Scan Doctor after doing as you suggested and it still shows a "driver conflict".  Still cannot print from the Mini.  Works ok from the desktop so the printer is good.  Thanks for your response.  I hope there still is a solution out there.

@don108 You are right, there's another solution available, I suggest you follow the same steps only this time, install the windows built-in drivers instead of the driver from the HP website,

check this link for step by step instructions: Click here

Let me know how that pans out,

And if it helps, mark this post as the solution.

Take care and good luck!

Riddle,  please don't abandon me know.  Let me tell you where my situation stands.  Only one windows driver exists for the B8350 and is built in.  The set up is absolutely correct now according to HP print doctor.  No issues!  I have used three different USB cables and have tested each of them on other devices and all work fine.  I have removed the printer and reinstalled several times and it comes out the same every time. I stopped the spooler and cleared the directory which had nothing in it as well and restarted the spooler.   I ran a program to clean the registry.  After that, the print document appears in "see what's printing" and it did not before that .  However it still won't send the document to the printer.  I have tried printing from several applications so that is not the problem.  The BIOS in the Mini is up to date as well.  So here I am with HP deviices on both ends and can't make them work together.  Please continue to help.  This should work!

@don108

Don't worry I'm not the abandoning types, although, I had been on my offs, hence the delayed response!

I went through the details and you seem to have pretty much done all the relevant steps and the only other thing we could try is using the generic/alternate printer driver for your device?

Click here to watch a video about getting it done.

let me know how that pans out.

And mark the post as the solution if it works.

Thumbs up!

Thanks for sticking with me.  Regarding the possibility of installing an alternate or generic driver, in the video you linked it does not list any alternates for my Photosmart Pro B8350.  Is there a particular generic driver to search for instead?

@don108

No worries, although, in all honesty, I did some research and there are no generic drivers as such available for your model as it seems to be obsolete,

If you wish to get an agent take a remote session and help you with the Windows Built-in drivers on your device, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

I notice on my desktop there is software loaded called HP Image Device Functions 14.5.  Printing with my Photosmart Pro B8350 works fine there.  That software is not on my HP Mini 110-1100.  Could that be why I can't print from there?  If so, is it available from HP?
