HP M553N was failing
Printer Model: M553N - B5L24A
I shut down the printer, restarted it, was 33.05.18 "A disk or boot error occurred."The printer does not have a hard disk.
Ethernet Cable, WiFi or USB: USB and Network port
Driver name and version: HP Driver
Firmware Version: Can't print/see it
Original or 3rd party cartridges: 3rd Party
When I went to print today the printer seemed to wake up, but nothing printed.
I powered off the printer, powered it on, and it started the boot process, but it only goes from step 1/8 to step 2/8, and then displays the pre-boot menu. This is all the printer does now.
I searched online, and everything pointed to a bad hard drive, so I went to pull it out, but it does not have one (it seems to be an option).
I tried to update the firmware out due to lack of any other ideas, but that always fails with "Device Error".
I ran diagnostics, but nothing came up.
It seems to have an IP, but I can't pull it up (browser) or Telnet to it.
I seem to be permanently stuck at the pre-boot menu.

It's a emmc disk drive, not a standard HDD
