The fusion roller on my HP m2727nf laserjet printer crumbled. I dissassembled the printer and tested a part of the fusion unit with a multimeter; this part appears to be defective (not the roller but part of the heating). Problem is I cannot find the part in the HP service manual nor googling it. I have a picture if someone can identify it!

HP is not selling individual fuser small parts separately that is why you can't find it in the service manual. From HP you can buy complete fuser assembly, if you want to buy only internal components of the fuser then you go to eBay, or look for Chinese sites selling spare parts like this one.

Sorry, but I need to elaborate. I tested the part with a multimeter but I am not sure I tested it correctly. I tested it for resistance putting the red lead on one side of the device in the picture and the black lead on the other side. The resistance remained at ".0L". I then switched the sides the red and black probes touched and still the resistance remained at .0L. Could the part be some part where this test is not valid and the part is still functional? That's why I wanted to identify the part, to find out what it actually is and how to test it. I have uploaded a picture of a piece of the unit which has a part number. The part number is "H3A 191D1 r" and "36U? - 230AI". The "?" is a place holder for a character I cannot identify.
