If the printer is connected to the main computer which is the Server, then the Server Admin needs to grant permissions to all the computers connected to the Server for those computers to have access to the printer to print

The Workgroup is on the computers and not on the printer. Since the printer is already connected to the main Server computer, then the other computers should be configured to be connected to the same Workgroup as the Server computer. Then the Server Admin needs to grant user rights permission and access to all the other computers so that they can use the printer

Thank you

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

If I understand correctly, your printer is connected to the Workgroup MSHOME but you would like to connect it to another Workgroup, is that correct?

Do you know the name of the other Workgroup to which you want to connect your printer?

How many computers do you have connected to this printer?

Are you able to print right now when it's connected to the MSHOME Workgroup?

Keep me posted

Thank you

Krazytoad: Many thanks for picking-up on this one.

Currnetly the Printer is accessed by 5 or 6 machines via the domestic WiFi but ...

With theintroduction of a home-business it is being moved to Ethernet (Wired) connection to a Server.

The network is configured to use the default workgroup or "Workgroup" (How original).

I am told by the server-adminstrator that all devices must joing the server's workgroup

I thought I knew this printer, but I cannot see any reference to the 'workgroup' in wither the on-machine menu, or in the Web Config.

Any help would be much appreciated
