I’ve asked for help with the same issue for over a week now and still ah ent received a reply. My printer is a HP envy 7155. Threw out the setup cartridge. I bought new catridges and thought it would  be solved but it’s still asking for the setup cartridge.

I found a video on youtube. Apparently, the back arrow button is still operational even though it may appear to be. I have an officejet pro. The video said to press the back arrow 4 times slowly. A menu should appear, select support menu and press ok. find the option for the system configuration menu and press ok. There is an option for TradeatOOBE, select it and press ok. Then make sure it says "No Trade" then press ok. Press the "X" to exit the menu, then restart your printer. the new cartridges should work.

I saw the same video, I follow the steps but there is nothing about Tradeoboe or no trade. I don’t get those options.
