Ok so dumb I know but here's my problem. I had constant printer notifications on telling me everytime I had inserted genuine ink cartridge's, etc so when the last pop up came up on my laptop, I hit the corner settings icon and disabled the pop-ups. Now...I'm unable to receive ANY notifications from my printer including low ink, out of paper, etc. Nothing comes up. So I'm printing and printing like an idiot, turn of the laptop then I notice the whole time I had no paper because it never notified me!

Yes, I've tried messing with everything including the printer server properties and checking to make sure the -show informational notifications for local printers and network printers is checked off...nothing. I tried running HP Universal Printing setup to which it says to enable notifications in the Device Settings -Printer status notifications- which I don't even have that option at all. Its not even there! I even tried to uninstall and reinstall all my software and drivers for my printer which only caused more headaches, but still those magical pop up notifications didn't show up! So I'm lost and running blind on my printer status. I am not a computer person...but it can't be that hard to enable out of paper notifications again can it?! Please help!

Hi,

Please click the bottom Notifications icon of Windows and then click on Manage Notifications at the top-side of the shown panel.

Look there for the Print Notifications option and check if it is enabled, then check for any difference.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi
