@TMPaskitti, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you're experiencing issues with an ink cartridge in your HP OfficeJet 4655 All-in-One Printer, follow these steps to remove and reinstall it:
Power On the Printer: Ensure your printer is turned on for smooth operation.
Access the Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door by gently lifting from the right side. The carriage will slide to the center for easy access.
Locate the Problematic Cartridge:
- Identify which cartridge needs to be reinstalled or replaced.
Remove the Ink Cartridge:
- Press down gently on the cartridge to release it, then pull it out of the slot.
Steps to Reinstall the Ink Cartridge:
Prepare the Cartridge:
- If you're installing a new cartridge, remove any protective tape without touching the copper contacts or ink nozzles.
Insert the Cartridge:
- Position the cartridge with the label side facing up, matching the color of the cartridge with the slot color in the printer.
- Push the cartridge into the empty slot until it clicks securely into place.
Close the Ink Cartridge Access Door:
- Gently close the access door to allow the carriage to return to its original position and for the printer to initialize the cartridge.
Important Notes:
- Handling Cartridges: Avoid touching the copper-colored contacts and nozzles to prevent clogs, ink failure, or bad electrical connections.
- Cartridge Alignment: After installation, the printer may prompt you to print an alignment page to ensure proper alignment of the cartridges.
- Use Genuine HP Cartridges: For optimal performance, HP recommends using genuine HP ink cartridges, which are designed to work specifically with your printer.
I hope this helps.
