HP Deskjet 2540 all in one Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently replaced my old TP Link router with a TP Link Archer C50 Wireless Dual Band Router. It works very well with all my devices, but it does not work with HPDeskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer (previously it worked fine with the old router). I disabled the 5GHz band, and tried to reinstall the driver (DJ2540_188.exe), still no luck. The printer does not seem to be able to connect to my new router. In despair, I put the old router back on, and it works again. Is a dual band router not compatible to my printer? Please help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Dual-band routers are compatible with our Printers. Let's reset the network settings on the Printer and then ty connecting the Printer to the router:

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for 5 seconds.

Let me know if this helps.

It works!! Thanks Betty0610. In addition, I temporarily disabled the 5GHz band prior to installing the driver (a friend of mine suggested it, not sure if it made a difference, though), and followed the instructions on screen. After the installation, I turned the 5GHz back on. The printer works fine now.
