Hi! Currently I'm using the HP Envy 5020 printer, there is a problem I'm facing when I want to print both sided flip on long edge. I'm using the HP Smart apps to print the document. In the 'Duplex Printing' section I clicked on 'Print on two sides, flip the long edge', but the document printed out is two-sided, flip on short edge. May I know what should I do in order to get printed in two sided, flip on long edge? Appreciate and thank you if someone able to help me on this!

@vivian_lai-711, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Let us try the steps below to resolve the issue-
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
Remove and add the HP Smart App from the PC.
Try printing.
If the issue persists, I'd suggest you install the full-featured software for the printer. Download and install the full-featured software from here.
Keep me posted.

@EVWB, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Try the steps below-
Ensure you are checking the settings before you send the print job. Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Windows) for help.
I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for the HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.
If the issue persists, try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you. I downloaded the firmware update but I can't select my printer under 'welcome to HP printer update'. I'm not sure if it's my old HP printer that is coming up as the option, as it has a different serial number to my current one.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Thank you @Betty0610 but I have bought a new epson printer which is actually printing double sided. I spent a whole day uninstalling and reinstalling my HP envy 5000 printer's software, and other steps etc. It still did not print double sided.
