Hp Envy 5532
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I haven't used my printer for a while and it now says that my printer cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink.

I am enrolled but when I look online it says I have non instant ink cartridges installed, but it clearly says instant ink on them. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi,

Double check your account status by logging into your account and check that everything is ok with your account.

If you are enrolled, it should print fine with eirther II or store bought cartridges.

Use teh link below to login and check your account status.

Hi,

Depending on your printer model you may be able to connect via the wireless menu on your front panel - you'll need to enter your wifi password.

Possibly you have turned off your computer, which you cannot do under the terms of Instant Ink agreement.  HP monitors your ink level and other things 24/7 so that they can automatically send out replacement cartridges.  If you don't use the computer a lot, possibly you should cancel your agreement,  Do it when the ink is almost used up in the cartridges, as they become disabled and useless when you cancel.  Monitor the levels on the front display panel.  The minimum is 50 copies/month.  The black cartidges (store bought) get 200 copies and cost about $15.

It could mean the printer is not connected to wi-fi with the router/modem or that the computer and printer are not wirelessly connected.  Is the blue light on front solid blue, which would show wi-fi connection.

To resolve computer - printer connectivity, restart the modem (unplug if needed), printer and computer.  Leave modem off 60 seconds.  Then restart successively in that order, letting each completely restart (no blinking lights).  Reply if still a problem.
