Deskjet Ink Advantage 3835 Printer

I bought my Deskjet a few months ago and all was fine, until one day the OK button stopped working.

I'm unable to update software, align the printer cartridges and best of all I can't COPY.  Where I have an option between buttons e.g.  printer screen gives the options "LATER" or 'OK', only the LATER button works. When clicking on the OK button it registers that I've selected the button (it makes a noise), but it doesn't move on to the next step.

I have unplugged the cable at the back, unplugged from the plug, I've restarted...to no avail.  Please can you assist.

Hello,

I suggest that you try a hard reset to solve to button problem.  To do this, unplug all cables including the power cord from the back of the printer while the printer is still turned on.  Unplug the other end of the cord from the power source.  If there is a power module on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.  After 60 seconds, plug the cord directly into a wall outlet ( not a surge protector or battery backup )  and then plug it into the back of the printer.   Let me know what happens.
