I have mac os big sur. On start up i'm getting a message that says the HP driver will damage my computer. So i followed support advice and downloaded a file that uninstalled my HP Drivers. Then as advised i followed the link to the driver download page to re-download updated driver. But there isn't one. And when I was starting this post, OS Big Sur isn't listed in the Operating System. What is going on?

Hi,
Try following below version of the HP Easy Start Utility:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/ASU/HP_Easy_St...
As soon as you open HP Easy Start, click the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software...
Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue. When prompted, type your administrator user name and password and follow the steps on screen.
Click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to reinstall your printer with HP Easy Start and check if that may work.
If HP Easy Start cannot complete your printer installation, from the HP Easy Start menu select Preferences.
Click on HP Easy Start.log and the log folder will launch, please reply me back via a Private Message with the log content attached, please clarify if you may not able to access private messaging.

Hi Shlomi,
That worked! Thank you so much.
(BTW, upon trying to print right the first time, i did get another error message that "fax.backend" will damage my computer. Since i don't fax, i just deleted it and all is well at this point.)
Thank you for your quick response and for assisting me successfully through this.

Thank you Nilford and Shlomi!
I don't want to use my InkJet Pro 9020 as a fax either.
The fax will damage the computer error popped up on my mac running Big Sur when I tried to add the printer having deleted it.
There were two options:
- Show in Finder
- OK
I clicked Show in Finder, located the Fax folder and deleted it. Printer works fine now. Scanner doesn't.
