Just "upgraded" from 8600 series to 8710 and PDFs that were aligned on the 8600 are no longer even close on the 8710. Please provide a solution.

Hi @Joeywit

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Are you experiencing this issue while making a copy as well?

While you respond to that, try these steps -

Step 1 Printer Reset -

1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 60 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

Step 2 Clean the Printhead -

1) On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .
2) Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
3) Touch Clean Printhead, and then touch Continue.

Step 3 Align the Printhead -

1) On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .
2) Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
3) Touch Align Printhead, and then touch Continue.

If the issue still persists, try cleaning the ink cartridges -

1) Open the ink cartridge access door.
2) Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
3) Remove an ink cartridge, clean the copper-colored contact, and then insert the ink cartridge into its slot.

4) Repeat these steps for the other ink cartridges.
5) Make sure no ink cartridge is sticking out farther than the other ink cartridges.
6) Close the ink cartridge access door. Try to print.

Let me know how that goes.
